This (Huckabee) video doesn't capture the sound of the crashing metal chairs offstage very well, but the rapidity with which Gov. Huckabee goes into his "Obama ducking from a pointed gun" "joke" really does give some credence to the notion that Huckabee... PRE-PLANNED the incident, to get some laughs from the gun-nut NRA crowd.
And here is Keith Olbermann's outraged "Countdown" Special Comment, listing some of Hillary's other beyond-the-pale, beyond mere outrage comments.
The simple fact is, that ever since her "I am experienced" mantra led to her LOSING the primary elections on Super Tuesday, Senator Hillary Clinton has run on one, and only one theme: "LOOK! MY OPPENENT IS A young, inexperienced BLACK MAN!"
Her despicable theme takes the Senate Democrats sitting on their hands - as VP Al Gore GAVELLED the Black Congressional Caucus into submission, for their entirely reasonable request for an entirely routine Congressional Investigation into massive voter purging and disenfranchisement in Jeb Bush and Katherine Harris' Florida - to an even lower, more sinister, more disgraceful degree of "what makes you people think your votes should count?" scorn and contempt.
Olbermann's Countdown "Special Comment" of Senator Clinton's beyond outrageous invoking the spectre of assassination of her opponent, much as she voted for the WAR AUTHORIZATION in what she then (and now) felt was an effort to burnish her "Commander In Chief" credentials...

Whether or not FOX fires her, I WANT TO KNOW WHY the Secret Service hasn't picked her up yet. After all, high school kids have been hauled in for much less than this.
ReplyDeleteLet's not forget the interviewer, who didn't IMMEDIATELY halt Trotta to tell her that that type of discourse has no place in civilized discourse. He should have thrown her off the show right then and there. He is as culpable as Trotta. But what do you expect from Fox Noise?

ReplyDeleteI may be obtuse, but I didn't hear her say that she advocated the assination of Obama. I did hear her say that others have hinted at it, and she did seem to think that was humerous, but nothing that she said advocated it. Perhaps she should be fired for having a lousy sense of humor, or poor taste, but I simply do not think that she can or should be drawn and quartered for her comment. I wonder if she had made a similar comment about any of the other candidates if you would have been so outraged.

Fran, please take a closer look. She said (paraphrasing) "... the furor over the assassination of Osama, er Obama, well, both if we could ..." -- No, I don't believe she's going to go out tomorrow and buy a high-powered rifle, but comments like these, or O'Reilly's "lynch-mob" comment about Obama's wife a few months back, should have very swift and harsh consequences. They betray a disgusting racism on the extreme right that is anything but funny.

Also she did "hint" after her stupid comment about "knocking off Osama ehhh ha ha Obama, BOTH WOULD BE GOOD" This is disgusting, that this should be allowed to slip through the radar.. We need to stop this kind of loose ignorant commentaries from being aired or allowed to be aired...
What bothers me is that she made the comment so "matter of factly" as if it did not matter. I understand her appology's somewhere around YouTube. I'll find it.
