Susan Boyle Walks Off America's Got Talent Due To Lou Reed's Meaness

TMZ.com reports that British singing sensation Susan Boyle - to whom Britain's Got Talent's Piers Morgan should thank for his own increase in publicity that led to his new gig as the replacement for CNN's Larry King - walked away from being a guest singer on America's Got Talent because she was snubbed by "Walk On The Wild Side" singer / songwriter Lou Reed.

Lou Reed comes off as a meanie here. He reportedly is no fan of the very sensitive Ms. Boyle. So when he was approached for permission for Susan to sing one of his songs, he surprisingly said no.

When you think about it, since he gets paid for that, Lou Reed just took money out of his own pocket.

That's the height of meanness, when you dislike someone so much, you don't even give them permission to make money for you.

TMZ reports Susan Boyle went to LAX in tears. That's really sad for her and for Lou Reed. If Lou Reed's any kind of man, he'll apologize to Ms. Boyle.

I'm waiting...

Apparently she's already recorded the song on her CD.
I really hope they can somehow get that song off so that he doesn't reap any benefits from it.
    He's a disgusting has been.

Your honesty and compassion for Ms. Boyle is greatly appreciated, Zennie --
Ms. Boyle will rise above this and have record
sales for BOTH new cds coming out this fall which will exceed the first one. I know nothing of Mr. Reed except what I've read this evening regarding AGT & one earlier incident from 2006? when he also went ballistic. So much anger bottled up, but against whom? I pity his lack of resources that Ms. Boyle has --
pain and rejection has always turned her to her Lord and Messiah, Christ Jesus -- and she will find comfort in Him again this week for this disappointment. Her Lord identifies with Susan's experience of today, you see .... as he was greatly reviled of men as well, and has the nail scars on his hands to this day to prove it. -- Our love for Susan continues and will always remain true. ......... Apparently some people want to bring Susan Boyle down but it won't happen. Her wonderful talent is here to stay. So many people are waiting for her new cd even if she doesn't get to present it in a big way. Millions are hooked on her beautiful voice and there is no getting around that.

Apologies don't escape egos as entrenched in self - satisfaction as Lou Reed's has proven to be over the years.

You're a cool one Mr. Reed.
    The industry can see,
you're as cogent as a cabbage
    As chic as apoplexy
    you're bitter and dated
    an icon overrated.
Ahh such a fool that Lou Reed.

Susan will do great regardless. America's Got Talent is a bit of a circus anyway.
