Legends Global Lays Off 1,600 From Oakland Coliseum Due To AASEG/OAC/Coliseum JPA Mishandling

Legends Global Lays Off 1,600 From Oakland Coliseum Due To AASEG/OAC/Coliseum JPA Mishandling
Legends Global Lays Off 1,600 From Oakland Coliseum Due To AASEG/OAC/Coliseum JPA Mishandling This is news that could have been avoided. Unless The Oak View Group is poised to announce the immediate rehiring of the 1,600 employees that worked for Legends Global, there will be no events held at the Oakland Coliseum Arena or the Oakland Coliseum Stadium for the foreseeable future. Right now, Legends Global's action spells curtains for the future of the Coliseum. Why? The complete mishandling of the Oakland Coliseum by both the Oakland -Alameda County Coliseum JPA and the AASEG/OAC/Coliseum JPA mishandling at the hands of Loop Capital's Jim Reynolds and my once friend Ray Bobbitt and Coliseum JPA Executive Director Henry Gardner. The evidence that they massively screwed this up is in the fact that they have no counter-news that gives anyone hope the 1,600 jobs will be saved. I warned the Coliseum JPA three years ago that this moment should be avoided and could be by forming a planning task force. But they never did and Henry was content to say that AASEG / Oakland Acquisition Company were not providing any transition plans. Heck, I advanced a plan to help them out, myself. But the current situation is that the people who ran the Oakland Coliseum have been fired. That includes the folks who help staff the Coliseum JPA Meetings, the Coliseum Manager, Nicole Strange, first among them. All of them are wondering what is going on and finding out about their fate in the media. That's not the way things are done. It is Keystone Cops. Now Oak View Group reportedly is planning to rehire the employees, but that does not come from Oak View Groupm directly, The best move was and is to have Legends Global back at the Coliseum working with Oak View Group, not on the outside. We need the investment dollars at the Coliseum. Also, theres no $175 million public investment in the deal. That lie needs to go away. As Tommy Lee Jones would say in "The Fugitive": My. My.
