DNC Convention - More To Come From A Full Day

Right now, I'm doing some late night blogging after a full day which saw me get about three hours of sleep and then drive to San Francisco for my flight, only to learn that I was supposed to be in Oakland.

So with my visiting Mom as passenger, I got over to Oakland in good time and made the flight.

The flight itself was weird. It started with the need to change tires on the plane. Then it ended with the flight being diverted off course a bit making us about 20 minutes later than we should have been. Finally i got here -- needing sleep. The town was abuzz with the Obama / Biden news and the responses were mostly positive.

After some rest, we headed over to an awesome media party at an amusement park next to Pepsi Center. There, it featured a awesome fireworks show. While there, I met Steve Doocy of Fox And Friends Morning Show. A very nice person who actually is shorter than I thought he would be, which is not to imply that he's short, just shorter than I thought he would be. He told me that he gets up at midnight to get ready to do the morning show.

Yikes.

More news and other content from today on Sunday!

CNN Clobbers Fox, Beats MSNBC On Obama's Speech

According to Mediabistro, CNN's decision to carry Senator Barack Obama's historic speech live caused it to beat all networks, cable and broadcast, for June 3rd, outpacing ABC, the other network that had Obama's speech live, 4.3 million viewers to 4 million for ABC.

In reading this, CNN beats all other news channels in the 25 to 54 demographic and overall for June 3, election night. But CNN beats Fox on every night, even when there's no election coverage. Whie Fox News Channel may have a victory in one time slow or another, it's just that -- one slot at one time. CNN has a larger audience, and it's thought to be due to the fact that CNN is more of a "news ticker" channel whereas Fox is personality driven. CNN commands higher ad rates and is believed to be the "snob" channel.

As for Fox News, it really is competitive with -- drumroll -- no one. According to fair.org, Fox News's most popular show, The O'Reily Factor, draws four times fewer viewers than the CBS Evening News, which is considered to be a ratings disaster. If that's the case, then Bill O'Reilly's the Titanic. It's why they resort to the upskirt tactics and other "Jump the Shark" programming. MSNBC falls late night -- in my view -- because of that stupid prison-programming where they seem obsessed with showing the inside of a prison. It's depressing and channel-turning -- away from MSNBC. Their power is in news, but they don't seem to know that.

Fox News Ainsley Earhardt Likes Wearing Skirts; Showing Legs

In more proof that Fox News ratings prowess comes from their female hosts showing their legs , we have Fox News' Ainsley Earhardt proudly proclaiming that at Fox News women wear skirts because they're, well, women. She then says that they could wear pants but the male show hosts explain they like the skirts.

I'l bet they do. Here's the video:

FOX AND FRIENDS - A Real Idiotic Telecast Featuring Gretchen Carlson's Legs

Fox and Friends: All about the legs!

I can't get over how overtly racist, stupid, and downright misguided "Fox and Friends" cable show is. They talk fast, say nothing, and don't know what the hell they're gabbing about. I guess show hosts Gretchen Carlson, Steve Doocy, and Brian Kilmeade are supposed to be entertaining, but the only aspect of the show that is -- and that's a stretch -- are Gretchen's legs.

Other than that, I see no real value in the show. And what's more disturbing is that it's the highest rated show in its morning category, over CNN's American Morning. But it's not for intelligent content at all. It is really about Gretchen's blonde hair and short skirt.

That's all it is. In fact, the Fox producers focus on her legs and even had scenes of E. D. Hill's legs in an upskirt fashion! That's the only reason -- the only one -- that Fox is ahead of CNN and MSNBC.

And here's the E.D. Hill segment where she's sitting in a short skirt and in a way that is provacative:

This is the key to the Internet. If you put a hot blonde woman on with a short skirt, people will tune in to see her. Then you can say any stupid thing you want to, and that's what they do.
