Frankly, this corner is both surprised and pleased that someone as old as Tyler at 62 was selected. That should make him the oldest judge in American Idol history, and scores a big one for health and fitness and makeup.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez is said by the name news source to still be in the hunt for a judges slow on American Idol.
The last news about Jennifer Lopez was that she was out entirely as Fox executives grew weary of her demands. J-Lo wanted $20 million plus her own hair, makeup, and styling team, and, get this, "dressing room compound."
Wild.

Steven Tyler would be a good addition as he's rock history, can certainly judge talent, and knows the music business inside and out.
Ha, this is awesome! I'm a huge Aerosmith fan and Steven Tyler is so talented. I hope his musical talent translates into competent and helpful judging on the show. Ellen was a bit of a let down last year, I hope he can improve upon her spot. We shall see!
ReplyDeleteI agree that he'll add some legit feedback to the kids on the show and he'll have a bit of wit, but this show is still on it's last legs.
ReplyDeleteI DO NOT want JLo as a judge on American Idol. If the producer is sincere in saying he wants the show to be more about the kids, that will not happen if JLo is judge. JLo will make sure that American Idol is about JLo and noone else. You can take that to the bank. This bitchy diva can't sing, can't act and she still has the nerve to demand things and act like she's the best thing since sliced bread. Her music label dumped her and has made one movie flop after another. In fact, I think 1 of her movies just went straight to DVD, nuff said, don't you think.
