It seems the Multinational Monitor has a habit of writing incorrect and critical news about American Corporations that support it. Support it? With a budget of over $1 million, it doesn't come from people on the street. But it takes that money from corporations and uses it to incorrectly shame them.
This is certainly true with Chevron, the company the "non-profit" organization publication owned by Essential Information, a firm founded by Ralph Nader, who's not involved with it as of this writing. It is Essential Information that receives a grant from The Ford Foundation, which in turn has recognized Chevron as a good company in the matter of community investment in America.
So what does the Multinational Monitor accuse Chervon of that makes it "so bad"? It's attempt to throw out a baseless lawsuit against it by Ecuador regarding oil wells that the country itself is responsible for taking care of and has been for almost 20 years.
Multinational Monitor and Robert Weissman, who made the list, should take Chevron off of it.

Ralph Nader Calls President-Elect Obama an "Uncle Tom" And Will Not Appologize
Well, whatever respect I had for Ralph Nader, and it was still considerable at a factor of 6 out of 10, was just reduced to 4 out of 10. This is because the Independent candidate for President, who got trounced by Senator Barack Obama last night, got on a Houston radio station and referred to Ralph Nader as an "Uncle Tom", which is a historically insulting term claiming that a Black person is White in some way and is intended to say that person's "not Black." Then Nader repeated the racist action on "Studio B with Shepard Smith". Here's the video:
I don't know why Nader's decided to be so racist so late in life, but such statements as that one and his earlier assertion that Obama "talks White " point to a major stereotype Nader holds about African Americans and would seem to "color" any good deed he wants to do in the future.

Ralph Nader - Presidential Candidate On The Bailout Bill
http://www.zennie62.com - Presidential Candidate Ralph Nader took time to talk with me specifically about what kind of form he would like to see the Baillout Bill take before he could support it.
Nader appeared today at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland, California as part of a California and Bay Area event swing which saw the consumer crusader take in 10 events in one day.

New Yorker, Jesse Jackson, Ralph Nader Use Racism Against Obama
In this installment in my video series I discuss the New Yorker cartoon of Barack and Michelle Obama and how it compares to Jesse Jackson's "nuts" gaffe of last week (which I contend was not a gaffe and was a deliberate action), and Ralph Nader's most unfortunate statement that Senator Obama was "acting white."
I feature New Yorker Editor David Remick's explaination of the creation and use of the cartoon, and provide commentary.
I then explain that all three actions were examples of "jumping the shark" -- using race to get attention for their message, but doing nothing to improve the American condition in the process.
