Tila Tequila: Army Of One by: Nikky Raney

Tila Tequila, who recently changed her name to "Miss Tila," spent months promoting her Celebrity Gossip Blog before its release.

Tila made sure that everyone knew that her army was behind her, and her blog would "dethrone Piggy Perez." Branching out from her other site, Tilashotspot.com, Miss Tila claims her new site will have all the secrets from celebrities who messed with her.

Tila went on KTLA (image to the left)and when questioned about the 800 thousand followers she has (he was
clearly referring to Twitter followers, but that would also be inaccurate as she currently has less than 30 thousand followers), she announced that her page had received 800 thousand hits within its first days of launching.

Web Information Company, Alexa, shows Tila's daily traffic trend compared with that of Perez's blog.

MissTilaOmg.com, "Miss Tila Queen of All Media LOLOL," is filled with day old stories as exclusive news, photos of people her paparazzi take for her, news about herself, criticism of others and reader comments.

The reader comments on her gossip blog may be the most popular aspect. Expectations for the comments to be filled with love from the "Tila Army," were surprisingly not met. Page after page of comments are filled with hatred and death threats toward the self proclaimed mogul.

Every comment providing positive feedback toward Tila has numerous "thumbs down" counters next to it. While the comments with negative feedback has triple as many "thumbs up." Commentators that are frequently rated receive user reputation (positive/negative based on thumbs up &downs per comment). The lowest rated commentator, ironically, is MissTilaOmg aka Tila herself.

A comment made by "Really?" received over 20 thumbs up:

"For those of you who claim that haters need to get a life, please notice that she called Rihanna "Ri-Herpes". She's never backed up her claim on going "innnnnnn" on Rihanna about having an STD and I'm sure when she does it's going to be my friend who's a trusted source saw her medicine. Tila is just a hater, hates on Rihanna, hates the Kardashians, this blog was just created for her to hate on people, self promote herself, and all around be a boring twat."

With regards to dethroning Perez Hilton, Tila's biggest rant against him was that he has his sister update his blog for him, but recent posts on Tila's blog from "TILA STAFF" has been linked back to Terri Ngyuen, Tila's sister. But Tila's updates aren't limited to her sister and her, but there are also others on her staff.

Let's hope that the Tila Army shows up soon enough, because right now she's losing her own war.

AC Transit Bus Rapid Transit: Berkeley council vote is confusing

Berkeley AC Transit Bus Rapid Transit
The latest phase of the AC Transit Bus Rapid Transit issue is that Berkeley's City Council's 4-2-2 vote that effectively reject the kind of study that AC Transit wanted to do in connection with the environmental report for a dedicated-lane Bus Rapid Transit Route was confusing.

The vote, which got 4 yes decisions, just one less than five needed, reflected Berkeley's overall lack of understanding of what Bus Rapid Transit was and the many ways that it could be done.

There was concern about a hypothetical loss of parking spaces when BRT becomes a reality. However, AC Transit did make it very clear that any parking spaces that are displaced to mark off the dedicated bus - only lane would be mitigated.

AC Transit told the East Bay Express that it is ready to build parking lots and to work closely with these people who are concerned to find solutions that work for them. Rebecca Kaplan, Oakland’s At-Large member of the City Council, also puts the myth of lost parking to rest when she expressed her confidence to the East Bay Express that the final plan will include any and all necessary mitigations.

There are so many ways to do Bus Rapid Transit that the Berkeley City Council could have come away with a unanimous vote.

Perhaps more importantly than the unfounded concerns about parking is that the East Bay is paralyzed in traffic jams right now. BRT is the best solution to free up the gridlock and provide a speedy and affordable form of public transportation. In fact, it could be up and running as soon as 2013, and fully implemented in 2015.

Given that the lanes are in the middle of the road, that concern is confusing at best. But AC Transit needs to deal with the misunderstanding before it becomes an issue that clouds the improvement program its embarked on.

Meanwhile someone explain how delivery trucks are going to be stopped in the photo above? The fact is that BRT is good for business, and this decision is puzzling to me. Leaving things the way they are now should be a non - issue, and Oakland's elected officials said that by expressing their unanimous support for BRT.

Thanks.

Matt Lauer and Annette Roque cheating scandal: Today show in view

Matt and Annette
Long time NBC Today Show host Matt Lauer now has something in common with colleague New York Giants Legend Tiki Barber, both were allegedly cheating on their wives and both were reported to have done so at The Winter Olympics.

Matt is also now mentioned with Tiger Woods and Jesse James, along with the term "sex scandal."

Someone should check the Canadian water because at the same time that Tike Barber was spotted with his girlfriend Tracy Lynn Johnson at the Winter Olympics, Matt Lauer was flirting with female Canadian broadcasters at the same Vancouver venue according to The New York Daily News.

Meanwhile Matt's wife Annette got word of his alleged behavior and reportedly confronted him when he returned home. Annette Roque and Matt have been married for 12 years.

Moreover, both Tiki Barber and Matt Lauer have massively hot wives. But what this blogger has learned is in New York's Manhattan, one wife or husband doesn't seem to be enough to quench the sexual thirst of the busy and successful in the finance and media industries. Affairs are rampant from what reports come to this space.

Not to say that some couple's don't manage a great relationship or have enough sex to keep them happy with each other. But for those with heavy schedules and not enough of it, there's a lot of temptation.

To his defense, Matt Lauer denies the stories but he's also moved out of his house as the NY Daily News reports from The National Enquirer.

Stay tuned.

Lawrence Taylor denies sex do condoms lie? post Suzannah B. Troy

Lawrence Taylor is in deep trouble because in the State of New York it doesn't matter if he did not know the woman he had sex with was under age.   He says he did not have sex with the under age prostitute but just pleasured himself.  This could all get down to a condom and lab results based on what investigators gathered from the hotel room.

In the mean time a supposed friend of the underage prostitute says she is lying.  Some friend.  She lived with the pimp and underage prostitute and was in the car when the underage woman allegedly bragged about earning the money without having sex with the john aka Lawrence Taylor.

Is this supposed "friend" who is basically calling the underage prostitute a liar telling the truth or doing damage control?   Is the friend the one lying?  If she is, did someone put her up to it and if so are the people involved in damage control doing this and are they being given some incentives?

Maybe the answers to whether Lawrence Taylor is pulling a "Bill Clinton" as in I did not have sexual relations with that woman strategy,  are in the contents of the  condom.  The underage sex worker said she was worried about getting pregnant because of "condom trouble"....that is my term not hers and Lawrence Taylor she claims reassured her she had nothing to worry about because he shoots blanks meaning he had a vasectomy.   If he does shoot blanks, how would she know that?  Why would that have come up in conversation?  She did not even know it was LT.

It is understandable that a professional player might enjoy a promiscuous life style perhaps having sex with groupies that would follow the players from hotel to hotel  would get a vasectomy because as I recall,  I saw an Oprah segment where it has been documented that women preying on these athletes go to extreme measures to get these guys' sperm and get inseminated one way or another without their consent to get pregnant and  have DNA proof for financial gain and connection to these pro-athletes.

Lawrence Taylor might be right he was  set-up and so was the underage sex worker as well as beat up.  Now she is called a liar by a stripper slash friend.  Sounds like "the friend"  may has been motivated to come forward to save Lawrence Taylor because she is a fan or who knows for other reasons but it ultimately comes down to LT saving LT and he may be figuring out how to do that behind bars.

Lawrence Taylor and his team have every motivation to do damage control.   LT has already been hit with major financial fall-out and he does not want to go to jail so he has picked a "self loving" defense and witnesses  aka "friends" can say what they want but people following this story will have to wait for the evidence to speak and the contents in the latex are key.   There are I am sure some men that put on a condom to pleasure themselves but  in theory if he is shooting blanks.   How did the underage sex worker know?   The contents of the condom will tell the truth.

A sympathetic jury may let him walk what ever the evidence and if that happens if LT doesn't get his act together he will get in more trouble yet again.

Lawrence Taylor was blind sided by Lawrence Taylor.

Atlanta Bar and Grill Max Lager's has Atlanta Beer Week

Max Lager's Atlanta
You may remember Max Lager's American Bar and Grill on 320 Peachtree Street in Atlanta as a place I visited while in Atlanta for Mom and during the Winter Olympics? Well, I'm back and this time the place that feels like Cheers has something called Atlanta Beer Week on May 16th through May 23rd.

In the video above Jessica took her first attempt at vlogging and scored a "A" in talking about the event. She also told me there's going to be some kind of happening each day during the Atlanta Beer Week period, from Acoustic Sunset and Max Brews at 6:30 PM on May 16th to a tour or the "great beer nations" on the 23rd.

I just wonder how far around the World one can go?

At any rate, check out Max Lager's when you're in Atlanta, and as a note this promo was done even though I paid for the great food and drink! And I'd do it again. I always have fun at Alan LeBlanc's place in downtown Atlanta. And give Jessica the business, if you know what I mean!

Greyson Michael Chance: "Paparazzi" by Lady Gaga

In this really fascinating World we live in, it's fitting that the Twitter tip on Greyson Michael Chance's totally shocking version of Paparazzi would come from Miley Cyrus' Adam Shankman, who just provided the link on Twitter with this:

must be seen to be believed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxDlC7YV5is&sns=em
about 3 hours ago via mobile web

At first, this blogger thought it could not be that incredible, but Adam Shankman's right, it was a wowser. Here's Greyson Michael Chance on the piano doing Paparazzi. And be warned that Chance doesn't start right off the bat with the song, he kind of warms up into it.

Here's the video:

Greyson Michael Chance sounds like the next Justin Bieber, who was discovered on YouTube. As of this writing, Greyson's hot on Google, but not on Twitter, even though that's where the news started for me.

Chevron and Richmond kiss, make up, and think with new agreement

Last week this blogger wrote that Chevron and Richmond needed to "kiss, make up, and think. Well, it seems all the time both parties were doing just that.

Communications from the Richmond Progressive Alliance and from Chevron report the completion of an amicable agreement that stops the chance that Richmond will lose millions due to a June ballot measure that looked like it was going to pass, and Chevron stopped paying out $15 million more than it had annually given to the City of Richmond.

The Chevron press release neatly bullet-points the resolved issues:

• Chevron will pay an additional $114 million to The City of Richmond over the next 14 years.
• The City of Richmond will stop its ballot measure to change the Utility Tax and Chevron will remove its proposal.
• The City of Richmond will drop its appeal of the Measure T Ballot measure, which was ruled unconstitutional.
• Chevron would wave $1.2 million it sought from the City related to Measure T.
• Chevron will make community contributions totaling $8 million.

This ends the waring between groups and at times people in Richmond. Now, Richmond will have its largest employer remain and is able to focus on the huge problems of crime and education.

Richmond should use this opportunity to mend fences with Chevron over its renewal project. Clean air, more than a 1,000 jobs are at stake and the City should take the leadership position to support Chevron to get the project moving forward. It’s good for the environment, for working men and women of labor and for the City of Richmond.

A great job by both the Mayor of Richmond and Chevron Refinery Manager Mike Coyle. It also helps Mayor Gayle McLaughlin case as shes's up for reeelection this fall.

Miley Cyrus and Adam Shankman Lap Dance Video - did they have sex?

The gossip headline that's all over the Internet is "Miley Cyrus lap dance video." It refers to a video that was obtained by TMZ.com and for them by an unnamed source. In it, there's a couple lap dancing that's identified as Miley Cyrus and Adam Shankman.

It's at what reportedly was a Georgia wrap party for the movie The Last Song, where Adam Shankman was a producer of the motion picture. The event look like a Party in the USA featuring a 16-year old who Can't Be Tamed.

The video, which is featured in this space' video-blog commentary above, is racy and appears to be two videos merged into one. The first part has a man clumsily trying to grind dance behind a woman in familiar "Daisy Duke" style short shorts and a white blouse. That's Miley Cyrus. TMZ reports the man to be Adam Shankman. With these new images, it's clear Adam Shankman and Miley Cyrus had a wild time filming The Last Song.

First some house cleaning if that's possible here: Adam Shankman's a big deal in Hollywood circles. Adam's not just the producer of The Last Song, he co-produced the 82nd Annual Academy Awards with Bill Mechanic. The LA-born Adam has a long career as a dancer, actor, and choreographer.

Perez Hilton reports that their dancing at the party was in front of kids and so dirty that the parents took their kids and left.

Adam seemed to have choreographed some interesting moves with Miley Cyrus. In July of 2009, Shankman placed racy photos of himself in close sexy connect with Miley Cyrus. The photo was taken in the makeup room during a filming session for The Last Song.

When Adam got wind of the outrage over a photo pairing a 16-year-old woman with the 44-year old Shankman, he posted this tweet:

On Monday 22nd June 2009, @adammshankman said:
Miley is a sweet angel who works tirelessly and endlessly, and is allowed to have fun in the make up room! Seriously! Lighten up or no more behind the scenes pics! She's like my angel little sister.

But in light of this video, it's clear she was having fun in more than just the makeup room with Adam!

Given all of this, one can't help but wonder what else may have went on between them? Did they have sex? It's fair to ask the question. Yes, Adam's Gay, but that's no guarantee he's not going to be interested in more than a little bump-and-grind given what we've seen today.

Adam Shankman's Tweetless Today

Save for one tweet made 23 hours ago, Shankman has not issued a single new tweet today via his Twitter account. Normally, Adam's good for between four and 10 tweets per day, so clearly he's gone silent.

Meanwhile, what the general reaction on the blogs? Celebrity Smack Blog pretty much sums it up:

Now, Adam, who is 45-years-old and openly gay, might not be a “threat” because he is gay, but c’mon, that doesn’t give him a license to act all pervy on a 17-year old girl. Especially on video – IDIOT! I’m just sayin’. If it was a straight guy who had done that, people would seriously be on the witch hunt.

Then there's Perez Hilton, who calls her Miley Slutty.

To me it points to a nasty contrast in America today - not a double standard, but a contrast. While this issue is hot, last week Lawrence Taylor was arrested for allegedly having sex with a 16-year old girl in suburban New York. Taylor, 51-years-old, cheated on his wife with a girl he was told was a 19-year-old woman. Now, $75,000 later, he's facing a court trial and claiming he did not have sex with her, even though a condom was found.

If LT had real confidence, he would have done what some other wealthy New Yorkers do, and that's have "arrangements" in their marriage that allow them to have the fun they seek with others. That takes a person with a very strong emotional stomach but it's far more common than many realize.

By contrast to LT, Adam's openly Gay and knew Miley was 16, and until today was open about their friendship. But Adam's a movie producer who's power comes from his position and personality. Let's face it, Adam's very well-liked by a lot of the right people and they protect him. Adam's in a less conservative and far more hedonistic culture than what LT lives in.

So Adam placed himself - excuse the pun - in a position where he could have fun with a 16-year old girl and be open about it and figure that he's Gay so it's OK. He can play across the pond if he wants to.

What Adam gets that LT misses is what the power of connections with powerful people can gain. Both have 16-year old girls in common and one now 17, but that's where any situational similarities end.

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer kills ethnic studies, proves racism

Cruella de Vil srtikes again
When the University of California at Berkeley first established ethnic studies as a requirement for undergraduates, this blogger, a grad student, was sitting in the Durant Avenue food alley at a Japanese restaurant when a white male student suddenly and loudly yelled "Why do I have to known anything about minorities?" Figuring that the boy was frustrated, perhaps sexually, and looking for a fight, I ignored him as did everyone else.

When he realized no one cared to talk to him because they regarded him as racist, he sulked.

In her attempt to kill ethnic studies, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer is proving that she's very much like that young man but the difference is she's not in Berkeley.

Brewer's in Arizona, where there are a lot of people who want to talk to her and have the same psychosis that caused the formation of the illegal immigration bill that ultimately targets Latinos.

The bill is to prevent courses that teach "ethnic solidarity" by, get this, teaching about African-American, Mexican-American and Native-American studies as is currently done in the Tucson Unified School District. Of course, it's just fine to learn about White European American History because it's tucked under the title of American History.

Geez. If Brewer weren't Governor of Arizona, Brewer would be a joke. A very bad joke.

That Jan Brewer is Governor of Arizona should make any Arizonan very angry. Moreover that she's a Republican should send intelligent GOP operatives into orbit. Jan Brewer will almost single handedly kill the GOP's mid-term election chances.

And to that prospect, I say, "Hooray!"

Beau Biden, son of VP Joe Biden, recovering after stroke

Those who watched and especially those who attended the 2008 Democratic National Convention will remember Beau Biden, the son of Vice President Joe Biden, and who introduced him with a rousing speech at the DNC Convention, then joined his father on stage. Beau, the Attorney General of Delaware, fell victim to what was called a mild stroke on Tuesday and was rushed to a Delaware hospital.

Biden was transfered to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.   He's reportedly recovering well and in good sprits.

Beau Biden is just 41 years old and comes from a family that has what ABC News calls a "long history" of vascular problems, giving rise to the question "What is a stroke?"

A stroke is a interruption of blood supply to any part of the brain.  The best daily way to prevent a stroke is via diet and exercise, but heredity is hard to overcome. Beau Biden did not have the problem of weight but of heredity.

Still, taking at least one aspirin a day is a great step both on the path of recovery from a stroke and prevention according to The American Heart Association.

Here's to a speedy recovery for Beau Biden.

Sucuzhanay murder not hate crime? - Suzannah B. Troy

Welcome to Brooklyn, New York and to two trials where you can gather together the only select group of people on the planet who don't believe Jose Sucuzhanay was beaten to death because of hate and prejudice. Jose and his brother were walking arm and arm when these hate mongers decided they must be gay and therefore beaten to death.

First of all what is wrong with someone that they are out there with so much rage on the streets of New York that they are beating people to death, stabbing them or shooting them?

These two trials are a mark of great shame on the City of New York, as if the murder of an innocent man simply walking home arm and arm with his brother, daring to be happy in a city filled with a lot of angry, lonely dysfunctional people in need of anger management classes, possibly medication, a life have to take someone else's life and do so attempting to beat two brothers to death.

These jurors lacked empathy and they assume it could never happen to them. I am straight but I have been gay bashed. It could happen to anyone of these jurors....welcome to NYC.

These cowardly thugs were so outraged by two men walking arm and arm happily together that they had to attempt to beat them both to death and they started by yelling gay slurs but according to trials in Brooklyn that doesn't count as prejudice and one even resulted in a mistrial. Both these monsters need to go away for a long, long time.

To add insult to injury the jurors for both cases say hey it was not a hate crime. I guess it doesn't count until it happens to them. I remember I was in college and I was with my Mom on Canal Street having shopped at Pearl Paint and was walking arm and arm with my Mom and this group of idiots made a homophobic comment. Around the world the jury is out and there can only be one conclusion about the people posing as jurors on this trial.

I have had gay bashing including be a stalker sicko with a camera who is so deluded and lonely he calls me his stalker when in fact he takes photos of me -- my back -- without my knowledge and sets up a gay bashing gang bang attack with his anonymous internet buddies which I turned in to the NYPD and lawyers.

On this YouTube I show you a crime scene in the West Village and it appears a man was severely beaten in the West Village and it was said to be because he was gay. They had to taken him to St. Vincent's and put him in a coma because of brain swelling. I have no idea how he is doing now and what is the status of this case.

Bottom line is NYC has way too high a threshold for hate, anti-woman and anti-gay.

Emma The Amish Model on Howard Stern Show is sad tale

Howard Stern's getting a lot of Internet traffic and buzz from Emma The Amish Model, the latest guest on The Howard Stern Show. For some reason the combination of "Amish" and "model" draws more attention than "Denver Broncos Tim Tebow blasted by hot chick at bar."

But more important and more serious is her story. Emma The Amish Model was kicked out of her community for being a model. She left when she was 18.

Still, while she may not know a lot of things as Howard claims, I can't help but feel sorry for her. Is Howard going to get her a good modeling contract? What's the future for her?  What's she going to do without a family base?

It's sad to read that a person was shunned by her own family as was the case here. We don't even know her real name. Its just Emma The Amish Model.

While Emma The Amish Model's at the height of Internet buzz, it's sad. She's not a cartoon character, Howard. She's a person. If there's anything to capturing Internet traffic from this, it's to throw that message right back at Mr. Stern.

Geez.  At least Howard could have exhibited some real concern for her well-being.

Denver Broncos Tim Tebow blasted by hot chick at bar

Denver Broncos 1st Round NFL Draft Pick Quarterback Tim Tebow brings out the best and the worst opinions from football fans. During his college career at The University of Florida, Tebow had scores of "haters" and so many there's a website home for them called "Tebow Haters" at TebowHaters.com.

Tebowhaters.com so hates Time Tebow they've got a wealth of material which dates back to 2006 and have joined in with The Bleacher Report for a "bust watch" clock on for Tim now that the Oakland Raiders have released their 2007 1st Round Pick JaMarcus Russell. Bleacher Report states:

Remember that the Broncos traded three draft picks for Tebow; the most for one player in the NFL Draft since Ryan Leaf.

Meaning that, if Tebow turns into a bust, Tebow will be a shoo-in to surpass Leaf. The heat is now on Tebow.

Tim Tebow's so hated he was even blasted by this hot chick at Aventine bar in San Francisco on Cinco De Mayo, and Tebow wasn't even there.

Now, seriously, the woman in the video is not any ordinary person; Kelly works in the sports industry, was at the 2010 NFL Draft, and is a Denver Broncos fan. The rare, random meeting of two people who actually worked at the NFL Draft, Kelly and this blogger, started a frank conversation on a number of NFL-related topics, but the hottest one was about Tim Tebow.

I have no strong feeling against Tim Tebow, and hope he does very well. Thats not true for Kelly, who can't stand him and is a huge Peyton Manning fan. Kelly's blast was like a gattling gun and anyone would be stupid to step in the way of it. Asked point blank-direct why she hates Time Tebow she said:

"Well, I'm from Knoxville, Tennessee...So Vols automatically hate Florida Gators. Tim Tebow is like a robot. Like pull the stick out of your butt. He's just too much. I know that camaraderie, whatever, we need a great leader on the team. He's just too much. I don't think he'll have followers. Nobody can relate with him.

And then he moves to Colorado where Focus on The Family is based out of Colorado Springs. Now we're going to have a bunch of Bible-belting fans being the crazy Christian right. You go to a Broncos game, there's going to be people praying instead of drinking.

I'm not a Tebow fan. I am a Broncos Fan. That's why I'm so sad we have Tebow."

When I informed her that the Broncos also had Brady Quinn and Kyle Orton, her responses were classic: "Oh, that makes a lot of difference...We have three quarterbacks. None of them are great."

I think Kelly wanted the Broncos to trade their entire draft for Peyton Manning.  She didn't say that, but I'd bet she'd support the move.

Tim Tebow stirs the passions of everyone from Kelly to Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones, who got off the now famous blast against Tebow just days before the 2010 NFL Draft and, yes, at a bar, as seen in this video:

Jones said he could never get Tebow onto the field.

At the NFL Draft Kelly's fellow Vol, Eric Berry, the Kansas City Chief's 1st Round Pick, said to me that he delivered his hardest hit to Tim Tebow (at the :58 second mark):

Curious to see the famous collision, I looked up the video of Eric Berry versus Tim Tebow or Tennessee versus Florida. This is what I found:

From the video, I'd say Tim Tebow got the best of Eric Berry on that one. Tebow had lower leverage and knocked Berry back. While Berry's sacked Tebow before, this is the hit he was referring to. Berry said he didn't know what he was thinking when he did that, "He brings a load." A load he's going to see twice a year since the Denver Broncos play the Kansas City Chiefs.

For some reason, I think it's his devout Christian faith, people want to root against Tim Tebow. I think Kelly and Jerry Jones are going to be very surprised. Even with that, I'm sure Kelly will not be shy in expressin her opinion.

Apple must fix the Safari memory leak problem

Apple Safari Logo
Apple's Safari browser has a horrible problem called a "memory leak" and it seems to be a more pronounced issue in the latest versions of the browser than in older ones.

A memory leak is when, after a period of time, your browser, which is the online field that's designed to function like a page and is used to access web pages and surf the World Wide Web, consumes more and more of your computer's memory until it reaches a point where it literally becomes impossible to use your computer. It's like your computer's stuck in cyber mud. You have to close any open software program or restart the entire computer.

In some case, I turn off Apple's "Airport" Internet access system and keep the browsers closed when I'm making videos.

Frankly, I've never had this problem until I started using the latest version of the Mac OSX Operating System. I have four different browsers: Safari, FireFox, Google Chrome, and Opera. I've had memory leak problems with all of them, with Safari exhibiting the worst level of leak and Opera showing the smallest rate of leak.

I enjoy using Safari because of the way the browser functions and how it feels when the leak problem's not an issue. FireFox has another set of problems related to what seems to be a "ghost" browser application that has not completely removed from my system. Thus, I have two FireFox apps that run as one when I open one icon. Weird.

That leaves Google Chrome and Opera. Google Chrome is great for blogging but the flash plugin times out after a few minutes, rendering it useless for video work. Opera's the only brower remaining that I use and gives me the fewest problems. But I am not a fan of the way it feels, as dumb as that reads, that's my take. I'd prefer to use Safari, but the leak problem's just a pain to deal with.

I checked and this problem's been around at least since 2006 with Apple's Safari, but I was using FireFox so often I never had to deal with it. Moreover the problem just wasn't as bad as it is today.

On my YouTube video someone explained that Sarafi 4.0.5 fixed the problem, but this internet search on Google reveals that's not the case at all.

If anyone has a workaround for this, please share it.

Meanwhile, Apple really should eliminate this problem once and for all.

Zoosk Social Network Dating party in San Francisco

If you're a regular follower of this space, you may remember the blog post about 2010 Web 2.0 Expo and how I considered going to it a waste of time. Well, that blog post landed an email and an invite as a "VIP guest" to a party for a new social network called Zoost.com at Roe Nightclub in San Francisco.

What was so funny was the email emphasized that the event was outside of Web 2.0, not inside of it.

Of course, one needed a Web 2.0 badge to get into it, but whatever.

Zoosk is a dating social network started by Shayan Zadeh, who's now CEO of the company. Zadeh explained that Zoosk started out as a Facebook-based project to rate "hot hot your eligible friends are on Facebook" and it grew from there. "And now there's a song about us," he said.

This song featuring T-Pain...

The Zoosk party was a mix of the typical SF Bay Area tech party with a lot of free drinks, an ice sculpture of the name of the firm holding the event, and people socializing in clumps and a wild scene of people who worked for the company were associated with it in some way, who were not afraid to yell and scream and shout.

On the tech side, I met Chindu Parikh of Sach Manya. Sach Manya is a mobile web applications firm who won the Venture Capital Speed Dating event Zoosk hosted. Like many small companies at parties like this, Sach Manya's work and creations are exciting, innovative, and useful. Need an iPhone app? Chances are Sach Manya can produce one for you that meets your needs.

Aside from the talk about tech, well there wasn't much of that. There was a lot of flowing cocktails and (thankfully) Hip Hop music. I say that because I'm tired of events where it seems the hosts think if they pay Rap or Hip Hop they're going to be taken hostage.

Was the party a bellweather of economic improvement? Did it mean Web 2.0 was a success and I missed it? I'm going to say, no and no. No because it was a small party that took up one room and by one company. It was designed to be that way and you can't tell a thing from an event like that. But I will say no to the second question just by the read of the lack of a crowd at The W Hotel.

You can tell how much economic impact an event has by the crowd or lack of one at The W Hotel during a convention. While Wonder Con SF drew record crowds, it didn't translate to spending at the W. In past years, it did. The Game Developers Conference packed the W all night long it seemed and that was more of a crowd for the W. And while that's true for Web 2.0, it didn't translate into a crowded W Hotel this time around.

In a way, that's too bad. Even though I blasted the organizers for a boring event, I'd hoped to see a Web 2.0 hashtag from someone's account as a Twitter Trend, proving me wrong. It never happened. Somewhere along the way Web 2.0 had become far too clubby and now it needs to be far more open. At a time when more people are being forced to learn about the Internet and how to use it for their business, Web 2.0's once keen market ears may need a New Media spring cleaning.

Perhaps Zoosk offers a lesson for Web 2.0's future: just add Rap and a few iconoclastic video-bloggers.

Think about it.

United Airlines Flight ORD to SFO Middle Seat 40 D on B-767

This blog post is for anyone who's ever had the middle seat on a wide-bodied plane. In this case, the aircraft was a United Airlines Boeing 767 on the way from Chicago to San Francisco. This is a trip I commonly make as part of my monthly trek to Georgia to help my Mom. I travel by stand-by and on United Airline, the carrier I grew up with, which means I get what's available; sometimes it's first class and sometimes it's economy class. My preference is for either first class or if it's economy, the exit row.

In this case, I was in the back, in the middle.

What I can't stand are people who can't seem to keep to themselves. Either their head rolls to you when they're asleep. Or they cover the entire armrest with their arm. Or they sick their leg into your space. It's almost as if being in the middle gives them some weird license to think they can violate your space.

It wasn't always that way. I can remember a time when people were more respectful of the space of others. Of course, there was more room in what was called "coach" then, too. Now, the "economy" designation makes riding on some airplanes like being on giant buses. Hence the term "airbus."

To this blogger flying will always be that something where you put on your best behavior, making sure to treat everyone with kindness and courtesy.

Of course, if we all did that, there would be no need for airport security checks and 911 would have never happened.

That would be a cool World to live in. We had it once; I just don't know what happened.

Erica Blasberg: LPGA star update, Gordon Brown talk - Zennie62 USTREAM

The latest news on Erica Blasberg is that she was packing to fly to Alabama at the time she passed away in her Henderson, Nevada home Monday according to USA Today. As of this writing, there's still no official cause of her death, and police have not told Erica Blasberg's parents what happened to their daughter.

Meanwhile British Prime Minister Gordon Brown stepped down Tuesday, thus bring an end to 13 years of Labor Party government and opening a new door to chaos. Now, Britain embarks on a new journey where "our country has a hung Parliament, where no party has a clear majority" as new PM David Cameron said in his first speech.

Conservative leader David Cameron took Gordon Brown's place as prime minister and did so to a loud chorus of boos on the way to and in front of 10 Downing Street.

How long before Camerson gets a vote of no-confidence as he lacks a clear majority?

All this and more in our talk at Zennie62 on USTREAM at 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST Tuesday.

Jim Morrison Lena Horne Lawrence Taylor - Suzannah B. Troy

I just made a new YouTube and I touch on many different topics including Jim Morrison, Lena Horne, Lawrence Taylor and his victim actually wishing him well and briefly on NYC politics.  I will post my YouTube at the bottom of this piece.  Here goes....

For Jim Morrison fans, Tom DiCillio's "When You're Strange" will be free to watch on PBS tomorrow night (Wednesday) at 9:00PM.  In response to my YouTube about Tom coming to talk to the audience after a screening at Angelika's on Houston St. in NYC,  I have had people from all over the world write me including in Spanish asking me how they can see Tom's new film with never before seen footage of a young Jim Morrison which are out takes from his film "HWY".   Now I can tell you the film is on TV tomorrow night!

Please remember if you do get to tune in that Jim's girlfriend's mom has creative control because she had footage Tom needed so that effects the telling of part of the story...anyway for Jim Morrison fans this will be quite a pleasure.   The audience was jam packed to the brim with Jim Morrison fan's and they loved the film and thanked Tom/  They also did not like Oliver Stone's version "The Doors" at all and either did Pam's mom.

On to the icon, great beauty, chanteuse, actress and Civil Rights activist Lena Horne.  I found this quote actually in the editorial section of The New York Post by Quincy Jones today and I had to post it.  I discuss her as well in my new Youtube.

"Lena Horne was a pioneering groundbreaker, making inroads into a world that had never before been explored by African-American women, and she did it on her own terms. Our nation and the world has lost one of the great artistic icons of the 20th century."
— Composer/arranger Quincy Jones on the death Sunday of the legendary singer and actress at the age of 92

Next, Lawrence Taylor and a NY Daily News article today that gets in to the gory details including that yes indeed LT had sex with her, the lights were down low so you didn't recognize him.  She had been beaten by her pimp and just wanted to get this over with as quickly as possible.  There was a concern about the condom coming off on her part and he said don't worry, he is shooting blanks.  Bottom line is she said the room was dark so maybe he did not see she had been beaten, who knows but she is a huge Giant fan and wishes him well.  She does want the pimp to go to jail for a long time.  Click on the link to read more.

For all those asking what was he doing and why did he ask for a professional sex worker.  I don't know. I did watch an interview and his wife said if in fact he did cheat on her, he is in trouble.  Clearly she is not going to grab a golf club.  She sound calm and reasonable.   Why?  I guess it is uncomplicated in a guy's mind to have sex, pay and leave.  No relationships or drama but LT's case who knows what the collateral damage will be besides jail time, losing sponsors...etc.  I can't imagine.

The real victim who is underage so we her name is never mentioned is trying to break free of this and get her life straight.  She wants to get her GED and become a pediatrician.

I found an amazing article on  an ex-child prostitute who got her law degree and now is an activist fighting to get kids off the streets and break free.

Pete Carroll: NCAA punishment of USC would be "surprise"

Seattle Coach Pete Carroll
Seattle Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll was interviewed by Dan Patrick on The Dan Patrick Show today, Tuesday. Patrick, to his credit, did not duck from asking Carroll several pointed questions about the NCAA's investigation into alleged NCAA rules violations at Carroll's last employer, The University of Southern California. Carroll said he would be "surprised" if the NCAA punished USC.

The NCAA is expected to make a ruling this week on the allegations that USC violated NCAA rules in the basketball and football programs. In the case of the football program, the NCAA opened an investigation into charges of illegal benefits given to then USC Running Back Reggie Bush during his final year at USC. (Bush is now with the NFL's New Orleans Saints.)

And the NCAA announced that a Pac-10 coach violated NCAA rules when he retained a paid consultant to watch practice and attend games. While the NCAA does not name Pete Carroll, bloggers speculate that the NCAA could be referring to Carroll's hiring of Pete Rodriguez to focus on USC's kicking game.

On The Dan Patrick Show, Pete Carroll said there was much he did not know surrounding what went on at USC that led to the allegations. Carroll was head football coach at USC where he won two national championships, and several Pac-10 Championships. Carroll said "it's hard to control" every aspect of an athletic program.

On Seattle Seahawks-related issues, Pete Carroll told Dan Patrick he was pleased with the Seahawks 2010 Draft class and added that 1st round choice Russell Okung was already showing promise of being a special player, and 2nd round pick Golden Tate has already made big plays in minicamps.

What's interesting about The Dan Patrick Show interview of Pete Carroll is their promos leading up to it said nothing about asking Carroll about his possible role in the NCAA rules scandal. Yet, almost half of the interview consisted of questions and conversation about that issue. You could almost feel the energy come out of the room as the focus turned to the NCAA. Coach Carroll went from being energetic and happy to slow and somber in his speech. I wonder if he felt blindsided. It sure sounded that way.

Carroll's going to be really dogged by what happened as USC if the NCAA surprises him with some kind of punishment. He should get used to the questions. One just can't run away from a mess.

Stay tuned.

Giuseppi Logan reunion Part 2 post by Suzannah B. Troy

Bobby Paulino keeps sending me edited pieces of the documentary I suggested Jaee Logan make when we were first connected by his friend David who was following my YouTube documentary of his Dad. I also suggested a Hollywood film like The Soloist and that Jaee could set up a charity to help musicians and artists like his Dad as was down with Nathianl Ayers, the subject of the book and film.  I suggested to Jaee that he starting writing in a journal in preparation for a book as well.  Here is my YouTube series starting with the first video of Giuseppi Logan playing on a freezing cold day to an empty park and a 20 part series still on going that brought a reunion of Father and Son.  Pete Gershon, publisher of Signal to Noise wrote a powerful piece which also honors and acknowledges my work on Giuseppi Logan called "Out from the Shadow".  I believe because of Peter's powerful writing and my YouTube discovering Giuseppi Logan which rocked the jazz world this led to Josh Rosenthal of Tompkins Square Park records to get him in the studio and make a new album mostly with original work.Giuseppi Logan Quintet (Dig)  The new CD, Giuseppi Logan's first since the 1960's is a successful and was received with very strong powerful reviews.  There were some in the music world that thought Josh Rosenthal was wasting his time and that GL was shot but Rosenthal proved them wrong. You should know that Giuseppi was married before he met Jaee's Mom and had many children.  There were problems and maybe it was undiagnosed mental illness.  I do not know.  He said she had him arrested and put in mental institutions.  Jaee has a different take on this saying she did not support his music and wanted him to have a 9-5 job which was a killer for him.  Music was and is his life line. He was divorced and re-married a woman who understood his love for music and came to New York City were he could pursue fame and fortune.  As you here him say.  He found fame but not fortune.  It is very sad and upsetting but I don't think he got much for those two successful records.  As we filmed a man stopped which was caught on camera and said Giuseppi Logan, you records got me through college.  He shook Giuseppi's hand. Giuseppi Logan studied at The New England Conservatory and when GL self destructed Jaee's Mom took Jaee to California.  Jaee was an honor student and he went to college studying music as well. You will hear Father and Son discuss Giuseppi Logan playing with all the famous musicians including Charlie Coltrane and Jaee as a little boy played with their kids.  Giuseppi played with Coltrane, Mingus, Sun Ra and more Jazz greats as he contributed his own unique compositions to what is called the free jazz movement. Matt Lavelle join forces with Giuseppi Logan when Logan came in to buy a reed.  Matt kept getting Giuseppi Logan gigs and formed a ban.  This was a life saver for Giuseppi because music is is life force and it also lead to him making money.  Josh Rosenthal even gave Lavelle producer credit on the new CD, The Giuseppi Logan Quintet which includes Francios Grillot, Warren Smith and David Burrell In my series Giuseppi thanks the people of New York.  He tells me he found out from his friend using the computer that people thought he was dead.  He got a little money and took a bus to NYC where people gave him help.  He found shelter although I had heard reports at times he was homeless and people gave him clothing and instruments.  An amazing Salvation Army Angel got him a small room close to Tompkins which is his life line.  He told me people here in NY gave him instruments.  The Jazz Foundation has also been helping him and gave him an instruments, a bass clarinet and flute but the flute is not playing right. I call Giuseppi Logan this morning.  I started very early and he picks up at 7am.  Giuseppi I have great news.  I just got confirmation you son is coming back this month.  I believe for your birthday on May 22.  Giuseppi hadn't heard from Jaee and he was worried he may not return.  He is returning Giuseppi. I asked GL who else he played with and here are a few more names. Giuseppi  played with so many people and here are so morewith Roland Kirk ,  Eddie Gomez, Eric Dolphy  and even  Dizzy Gillespie! I had to leave to go to a meeting but before I did I suggested Jaee and Giuseppi walk over to where Charlie Parker lives.  I couldn't go with them. I wish I could have.  Enjoy the 2nd part in a series Jaee Logan is putting together and a sad reminder Jaee lost his only son to gun violence and he has an organization set up with the goal to stop the violence. Giuseppi has some gigs coming up.  Here is the first in at least 3 that are booked ...IPR in Brooklyn 10pm 5/14 www.issueprojectroom.org Brecht forum 9pm 5/16 9pm www.brechtforum.org He is also going to be on a jazz radio show in Newark the day before his birthday...I have a lot going on so you have to contact Matt Lavelle for more info.  You can join his facebook page, myspace or email him lavelle.matt@gmail.com. Again I have to say I am so honored and proud to be part of this YouTube miracle and helped Giuseppi out from the shadow as Pete Gerhshon describes it and even writing this was work. I am tired.  Thanks to Tim Madison for pushing me to keep filming.

Erica Blasberg: LPGA star dies at 25; 911 call by unidentified person

Erica Blasberg
UPDATE: Dr. Thomas Hess guilty of obstruction of justice.

25-year-old LPGA golfer Erica Blasberg was found dead in her home in Henderson, Nevada Monday. The cause of death was unknown as of this writing. TMZ.com reports that law enforcement is conducting a "death investigation" of the Orange County born, two-time All-American, 2003 NCAA Freshman of the Year and 2003 Pacific-10 Player of the Year from The University of Arizona who turned pro in 2004.

Blasberg's agent Chase Callahan released this statement:

We are devastated to learn of the passing of Erica Blasberg. To most of the world, Erica was known as a professional golfer, but she was more than that. She was a loving daughter to her parents and a compassionate and loyal friend. Erica had a good heart, was extremely kind and very thankful for what she had in her life.

It's hard to tell what's happened with Erica Blasberg of late because her website blog has not been updated in 13 months and her Twitter page is gone.

While TMZ gives a sketch, the Press-Enterprise has a more ominous text from her father:

"At first glance it looks like she might have taken her own life, but at second glance, something is very, very strange about it," said Erica's father, Mel Blasberg, by phone from Nevada. "We're waiting for the police to make an investigation, it's a pending investigation.

"Either way, I lost her and it's impossible to deal with."
Her parents lost their only child

ESPN reports that police responded to a 911 call, but they did not say who made the call.

Online accounts paint Erica Blasberg as a fun-loving, free-sprited woman who was not caught up in her celebrity. Shane Bacon of FanHouse, who was a friend of Erica's and had the rare pleasure of being her caddy last year in Phoenix, posted this:

I just woke up at 7:58 AM PT. I opened Jimmy Roberts "Breaking the Slump" last night at 10:00 PM and read exactly one word before completely passing out. Needless to say, I was pretty exhausted from a long week of caddying for Erica Blasberg.

First, I'd like to thank Erica. I'm sure I cost her two shots a round, but it was fun she couldn't have been more pleasant to work with. If there is a tour player perfect for this little experiment it would be her.

And Erica wrote a long account of their time together. Here's part of it:

He quickly eased my fears though when a couple holes later I tried to get my own yardage. I didn't properly add the numbers and Shane quickly helped with my math skills and fixed my mistake for me. But besides all those technical things it was great having Shane out there. He kept me laughing and relaxed most of the four days and more importantly didn't let me get down on myself for too long after a bad hole. It might be that we get along so well off the course that made our chemistry on the course so solid, but whatever it was I think I can honestly say that besides not having the results i was hoping for (damn you Camelback Mountain, not all putts broke away from you!) I really had one of my favorite weeks on tour in my five year career. Thanks Shane for putting up with me and all of my many putter tosses ... hope your shins don't hurt too bad!

Shane wrote a moving account of their friendship over at Yahoo!

Erica's representatives took great pains to keep her personal life off the Internet. In the Q and A section of her website, Erica responded to a fan, Mike Barry of Corona, Ca, who seemed frustrated that his questions weren't answered. This is what she wrote to him online:

"Mike I'm sorry your previous questions were not answered. It's impossible for me to answer the many questions sent and trust my agent; Rep1Sports to do the filtering. Things like: a request for autographed pictures ( joining my fan club would include that), although flattering, questions about meeting me, or if I'm single and anything outside of golf, are things that I never see. My fan base is one of the things that makes playing golf professionaly, wonderful. I enjoy the Q & A section of my website, so keep those questions coming."

What's interesting is that Erica Blasberg is from the same Corona town Mike Barry apparently lived in at the time of online contact.  Maybe it's nothing.

Stay tuned.

Southwest Airlines Rapping Steward should be on United Airlines

The best thing about YouTube is finding that gem of a video while searching for some other kind of video. That was the case with the famous FUNNY STEWARD SOUTHWEST AIRLINES RAPPING SAFETY INFORMATION video.

The video features an African American Southwest Airlines steward by the name of David Holmes who explains that the boredom of working on five flights that day has compelled him to "shake things up" and with the audience clapping to a beat, he goes into what could only be called a classic rap. It goes like this:

This is Flight Three-Seven-Two on SWA.
The flight attendants on board serving to today
Terresa in the middle, David in the back
My name is David and I'm here to tell you that
Shortly after take off, first things first
There's soft drinks and coffee to quench your thirst
But if you want another kind of drink, then just holla
Alcoholic beverages'll be four dollars
If a Mansever Food and Drink is your plan
That'll be three dollars and you'll get the whole than
We won't take your cash; you pay with plastic
If you have a coupon that's fantastic
We know ya ready to get to new places
Open up the bins, port away your suitcases
Carryon items go under the seat
In front of you so none of you have things by your feet
If you have a seat on a row with an exit
We're gonna talk to you so you might as well expect it
You gotta help evacuate in case we need you
If you don't wanna then we're gonna reseat you
Before we leave, our advice is, put away your electronic devices
Fasten your seat belt
Then put your trays up
Press the button to make the seat back raise up
Sit back relax
Have a good time
It's almost time to go so I'm done with the rhyme.
Thank you for the fact that I wans't ignored
This is Southwest Airlines, welcome aboard.

David gets all the girls
A great, classic rap! What's funnier still is at the end, David Holmes says "You're not going to get that on United Airlines!"

Man, I so wish he was wrong. If someone working for United Airlines sees this, form a rapping crew group!

What amazing is that even though the video was uploaded over a year ago, it's only clocked a quarter of a million views rather than one million views.

And on the matter of the past year, Holmes' has a Facebook group with just over 400 fans. That's an outrage. It should be 4,000 fans. Visit his page and press the like button, please!

Megan Avalon: Pamela Sue Anderson and female bodybuilder in one

Megan Avalon
After her win in the Sports Division of the 2010 Silver and Black Classic, Marin County Personal Trainer Megan Avalon is a major step closer to to objective of getting out the message that a woman can be both obviously strong and muscular, and beautiful and sexy. Think Pamela Sue Anderson and Barbie.

With the guidance of her trainer Jennifer Cowan, a professional bodybuilding legend, Megan Avalon has worked to hone and refine her amazing look.

Megan's one part Pamela Sue Anderson, another part Barbie, mixed with Jillian Michaels and female bodybuilder. It's just a matter of time before she's discovered and not just for her looks, but because she's well spoken. Megan talks very well on the mic, on video, and in person.

This space has helped promote Megan and sponsors her on Zennie62.com; not agents but major league fans. Megan's objective fit right in line with a long-held desire this blogger has had to alter and change how society thinks about women going all the way back to 2003 and really beyond that point in time.

Megan should be on the cover of The Sports Illustrated Women's Swimsuit Edition or at least right there with Brooklyn Decker.  (Now if we can only get Dan Patrick to speak up!)

In the past, women with muscles have been shunned and women's bodybuilding thought of as a "strange" practice and not even a sport. But the slowly advancing industrial society, in expanding labor, education, and athletic opportunities for women gave rise to the strong woman, almost before fashion and image arbiters could catch up.

Brandi Chastain

Now, thanks to Nike and Brandi Chastain's amazing and iconic moment, that's where we are at today. A total disconnect between the true image of women and that in the World of fashion.

Megan Avalon can bring those Worlds together. The image that needs to be seen is the one she has. Most modeling agencies have pushed the opposite: someone who looks like Megan but is skinny and weak. All agencies except for one: Wilhelmina International, Inc.

Last year, Wilhelmina International, Inc. partnered with Shape and Men’s Fitness magazines (both owned by American Media) and started a contest to find the best male and female fit models.

And while Megan Avalon did not know about the contest to enter it and win, the simple fact that such a legendary modeling organization as Wilhelmina would look for women with muscle as a look to promote is a major step forward in fashion. It's only a matter of time before Megan is recognized as the best fit woman model in America.

Megan is using a number of methods to advance her image, from websites and blogs to bodybuilding contests and webcam shows. The combination is building a fanbase that can lead to movies and video games.

Yes, movies and video games. Megan's look means numbers and as her popularity grows her value as a celebrity image for entertainment platforms increases too. The 2010 WonderCon was a hotbed for images of strong women in comic books and in movies like Kick-Ass, who's most popular character is a young woman who's not afraid to, well, kick-ass.

Megan's path is like that of Pamela Sue Anderson: from modeling to acting and movies. But the difference is Megan's promoting what it means to be very healthy, very strong, and very female.

Megan Avalon's website MeganAvalon.net will be finished soon.

Lena Horne Civil Rights Activist Icon passes post by Suzannah B. Troy

Lena Horne was a great beauty, a beautiful person, singer, performer, icon and Civil Rights activist. Growing up in Bed Stuy Brooklyn her peers treated her badly because of her light black skin. They said she had a white father which was not true.

Lena Horne was the first African American Actress to have a contract with a major Hollywood studio with a clause stipulating she did not have to play any demeaning or stereotypical roles according to this blog I linked to and also was a favored and loved presence at The Apollo Theatre.

She was a ground breaker and a fighter for Civil Rights and she contributed and helped pave the way for other thanks to her activism and courage. She died at 92 years old here in NYC New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and she had her family with her.

Below a quote from The New York Post Editorial section from Quincy Jones, May 11, 2010.
— Composer/arranger Quincy Jones on the death Sunday of the legendary singer and actress at the age of 92

I remember Liz Smith was a big admirer of Lena Horne and I was invited to a function dedicated to her. Her daughter came in her place if memory serves me right.

Lena Horne was very humble and down played her talents but she truly was a compelling performer, a great beauty, a loved Mother and an activist that made a difference and will be missed.

She was born here 92 years old and she passed away her in NYC...full circle fully loved...

I think of Alicia Keys singing "Empire State of Mind" so beautifully and I think of Lena Horne now eternally beautiful; her great contributions remain with us in spirit.  Thank you and Bless you Lena Horne.

Melissa Huckaby admits to murder of Sandra Cantu

Melissa Huckaby
Melissa Huckaby admitted to the murder of little 8-year-old Sandra Cantu today. If you recall Melissa Huckaby, she was the 28-year-old Tracy, California Sunday School teacher who was accused of Cantu's murder, but said she wasn't guilty. Well, today, Huckaby changed her story in exchange for a sentence of 25 years to life in jail.

Sandra Cantu was a friend of the daughter of Melissa Huckaby. Cantu was reported missing from her Tracy home March 28th, 2009. Her body was recovered in a suitcase left in an irrigation canal April 7, 2009.

That information alone is enough to make one cry.

Under the plea deal, all other charges were dropped.

When this blogger first heard the Melissa Huckaby story, the elements of it seemed to point to an insanity plea. In other words, a young female Sunday School teacher would have to be insane to do what Melissa was accused of doing.

Such a claim does not exonerate her for what she did. But when a single mother and Sunday School teacher goes off and does what she did to Sandra Cantu, and is said to possibly have been involved in another case, something has to be wrong with her.

Why? That's the unanswered question. What happened to cause Melissa Huckaby to go wrong?

That's a question we're addressing at Zennie62 Daily on USTREAM.TV, below:

Giuseppi Logan son's video post by Suzannah B. Troy

As any of the good people following my blogs and YouTubes know I discovered Giuseppi Logan playing "Begin the Beguine" 2 years ago on a freezing cold day and I knew I captured something amazing. I ran home and I followed GL's instructions to research him on the internet. I immediately found a YouTube posted on ESP channel of a British film maker's showing Giuseppi Logan in the very same park, Tompkins Square Park in the East Village but from 1966. Giuseppi's son Jaee happily plays in the park with little girls as Giuseppi's original composition plays in the background. Peter Gershon, the publisher of "Signal to Noise" wrote a powerful piece on Giuseppi Logan "Out from the Shadow" and I was deeply moved by what Pete wrote about my contribution and my work in this exciting discovery... Giuseppi Logan was in fact a live. He had made 2 successful records in the 1960's before he vanished. Where did he vanish to? His demons got the better of him. More on that later. I have a poem in the park..."miss you, miss people, neighborhood, trees, NYC idiosyncrcasies" at the base of the fountain with the word "Hope" you will see in the video I am posting that was sent to me. Giuseppi Logan was standing just a foot away from my poem with the words "Hope" above my poem like a shining light. Who would know I would stand next to Jaee Logan 2 years later and Jaee will be talking to us about broken family trees...not only had Jaee Logan lost his Father but he has lost his only son to random gun violence. His son Jaee was shot 3 times in the back of the head. What you will see is Giuseppi Logan and his son Jaee reunited after 40 years thanks to my YouTubes. When Giuseppi self destructed Jaee's Mom took him to the west coast which is his home base. He has his Dad's musical gifts and the first time I conferenced called them as we talked -- Giuseppi would play music and it spoke to Jaee in a way I could not through is music. I was deeply moved. I have had to deal with the dark side of YouTube and blogger owned by Google and I have had to turn to the NYPD and lawyers but this is the best side of YouTube and Google. I call this a YouTube miracle and I am so honored to be part of it.
