CNN Fires Rick Sanchez - What's Your View? A Poll

CNN fired Rick Sanchez Friday after the famous and popular news show host got on Pete Dominick's radio show and said that CNN was "ran by Jews," in addition to saying that The Daily Show Host Jon Stewart was a "bigot." (Oh, and since Jon is also Jewish, do you think, reversely, that Sanchez, was saying CNN's bigoted too?)

Since that action, CNN has removed Rick Sanchez blog page (see) and failed to allow the long time broadcast journalist anything like a graceful exit.   Meanwhile Rick Sanchez stopped tweeting on Twitter and went into hiding.

Reaction To Firing Of Rick Sanchez

As of this writing, "Rick Sanchez" is the 2nd most popular search on Google. People are hungry to read about what happened and why, looking for any clues to his sudden disappearance Friday, and any other news of what behind-the-scenes actions led to his ouster.

This blogger wonders if Rick Sanchez was drunk when he made his semi-Mel Gibson rant. That would explain how stupid he was to get on a radio show and make comments like those he came up with. In listening to him, and watching his show, it seems he became a bit bitter of late. Why, is not known. What is known is that observers and commenters are shocked - some happy and some sad.

At Mediaite the comments largely add up to the idea that Sanchez will land at Fox News.  Others loved that he was fired - in fact, there's not a dry eye around the Internet.  But there are people, including this blogger, that are surprised CNN let him go and want to know what happened.  There are others who use the moment to share their own race hatred, but they're few

Maybe. Unless one goes over to Stormfront.

CNN acted too fast; some words had to have been exchanged.  CNN seems bent on ridding themselves of Rick, even yanking down any online mark of him with them that they have control of.

Something happened internally.  But what would you have done with Rick Sanchez?

A man who doesn't know where Hawaii is, who needs to ask for a translation of "meter" and who claims Iceland cannot have vulcanoes because it is too cold doesn't belong on a serious TV channel.

Good riddance to Sanchez! Calling Jon Stewart a bigot because he called Sanchez out for being stupid when he was exactly that! Pfff!

Poor Rick made the mistake of saying the obvious.
CNN will most likely try to cover up the truth of Rick's comments by running scare stories about Osama Bin Laden.

Rick Sanchez is just telling like it is, Stuart is a bigot and the main stream media does not want to face that it really exist

I don't think Rick should have been fired for calling Stewart a bigot, he should have been fired because he is a self-righteous moron that was way too full of himself. Rick thinks he is the only one who can really understand a situation because of his "life experiences." Give me a break.

  5. What an idiot. I couldn't believe what a stupid world view this imbecile has. I think HE was incapable of seeing the world through any other eyes but his. I could only suggest he sees a pychiatrist to learn about other peoples perspectives. What a sorry fool.

Funny that Rick was fired for exercising his freedom of speech. Whether you like the man or not, whether you think him a simpleton, an idiot, or a tell it like it is, media representative, he was let go from a "freedom of speech outlet". CNN is a one-sided, mainstream, extremist, news agency anyways. It's a bully in the industry and heaven forbid you dont tune in an become numb and hypnotized by "their" belief of what is really happening. I watched Rick on my lunch and it was a nice break from the CNN BS that they report on all day! Bottom line is you will never get the real and true story on anything, unless you were there yourself.

THEIR OWN WORDS ARE THE BEST PROOF THAT HE IS A STUPID RACIST.

EVERY TIME THAT HE OPENED HIS MOUTH WAS ADDING TO HIS IGNORANCE AND RACISM.

CRYING WOLF WHILE AMBUSHING OTHERS - LIKE THIS SANCHEZ IS DOING - IS THE DIRTY WAY OF IGNORANT TO IMPOSE THEIR GOALS. REMEMBER THE NAZISM AND THEIR FIRST SUPPORTERS.

HE SAYS THAT SOMEBODY THOUGHT THAT HE IS GOOD FOR NOT MORE THAN BEING A REPORTER BECAUSE HE IS HISPANIC AND HE CANNOT EVEN CONSIDER - WITH HIS HUGE ARROGANCE AND IGNORANCE AND ANTISEMITISM - THAT HE IS NOT WORTH FOR MORE.

rICK BELONGS TO THE WORST KIND OF BIGOTS THAT USES HIS ROOTS AS A WEAPON TO GET SOMETHING IN LIFE.

CNN DID THE RIGHT THING. I AM HEARING HIS INTERVIEW AND AS A FELLOW HISPANIC AND AS A JEW MAKES ME FELL SICK.

PEOPLE LIKE HIM USES THE POSITION THAT THEIR WERE GIVEN NOT TO EDUCATE AND CREATE CONSENSUS BUT TO INJECT VENOM IN THE PEOPLE.

SHAME ON YOU IGNORANT ANTISEMITIC CREATURE.

SHAME ON YOU AND ON YOUR FATHER IF YOU ARE THE RESULT OF THE EDUCATION THAT HE GAVE TO YOU

Rick is saying what a lot of people think. The style of CNN has dramatically changed over the past few years.

THERE IS NO RESPECT FOR OTHER PEOPLES VIEWS OR BELIEFS. ARROGANCE IS THE NAME OF THE GAME!

    SHAME ON YOU CNN.

  10. Rick finally got sick of the BS over there at CNN and told the truth... Way to go Rick!!! I wish you well, and may God Bless You!!! You took one for all of us, or should I say the rest of us... I’ll always remember and respect you for that… You may be out of a Job for the moment but at least now you could have yourself respect back... You should cherish it and never lose it (yourself respect) again!!!

I knew the pay at CNN must have been good but I always wondered how you could look at yourself in the mirror? and if you were able to sleep at night??? Now I know the answer... You are not the only one that I wonder about... I also wonder about Tony Harris, I don’t know how he keeps himself from jumping off a bridge… His friend and family must be so shame… In fact the entire Black race on earth must be shame by his antics and the things they have him say on his show. It’s really embarrassing!!! At least Rick, it over for you… You don’t have to sell your soul no more…

Bottom Line: CNN tried to make an Example out of Rick… But all they did was to prove what Rick said to be true…

  11. CNN, please bring back Rick back on the air. We love and need Rick. He did mean to offend the jews. The other guy brought the jews into the conversation. Jon Stewart was making fun of Rick almost every night, it is only fair for Rick to fight back. I tell you, CNN rating will be dropping fast if Rick is not back on the air.
RIck if your reading this, we love you and sport you. You were the voice of every

  14. Folks, it's not the truth. Rupert Murdock is not Jewish, as one example. Dean Singleton is not Jewish. It's a big myth.

Wow! So much for freedom of speech... I read the interview & I am floored over his firing. He never even said the word "Jew" & he got fired for what they say he implied or insinuated...? Are you kidding...? Is this not grounds for a lawsuit..? And wow! I've been watching Jon Stewart for some time now, and his reaction to all this has really opened my eyes to how he really feels... He said, "Just apologize & we'll let you back in" are you serious man...? What a nasty person. And they say there is no such thing as a racist Jew... Yea Right! I will never watch this guy again... Rick was told he was more the Quinones type, and he is the one being called the racist...? What? Did I miss something? Should I read the interview a fourth time..? No, but it gets better, they replace him with a Jewish politician who was caught in a prostitution ring just a couple of years ago! If this isn't a great example of what Rick said, I don't know what is! Rick should sue the pants off of CNN... You don't have to be scholar in ethics to see through this malarki...

By and large "people agree", does that entitle us to lynch and persecute freely, along as the majority agrees? Rick Sanchez did nothing wrong professionally and openly criticizing your employers might be a fire-able offense, but you think The Most Trusted Name in news would recognize the difference between hateful rhetoric and personal disgruntlement, given they spent the past 2 mos exploiting him by having him cover 3 hrs of live news each day. Breitbart was a guest on Parker Spitzer premiere, hmmmm, there's a reliable person who can be trusted to speak to the masses, yeah seems hanging a black woman out to dry using purposely edited footage is okay! Get off your judgement horses and see the sh*t before your eyes. Helen Thomas / Octavia Nasr / Michael Ware - now Rick Sanchez. CNN doesn't support their own and there is OBVIOUSLY one controlling group of people who are OFF-LIMITS to criticism. This is about bigotry - and how it applies to the rest of us just not Jew! Stewartesque, if it's funny it's not offensive, right?

"Toto, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore."

All this time I thought "Stewart" was Scottish.

    Going to miss "Ricks List"

I shall tune into CNN for the weather only---never mind I'll just check it online...

    Lets keep the Internet "Free"
